Eglise Saint Michel

L'église de Verton est assez imposante. Sa nef à collatéraux est élevée au XIVème puis restaurée au XIXème siècle par l'architecte Clovis Normand. Sa tour servira de phare jusqu'au XVIème siècle. Elle est couronnée d'une flèche en 1568 puis restaurée au XVIIIème. Le choeur de l'édifice est daté de la fin XVème siècle, en témoigne la présence des armes des Soyecourt.

Verton's church is pretty big. Its nave with side aisles was built in the 14th century and then restored in the 19th century by the architect Clovis Normand. Its tower was used as a lighthouse until the 16th century. It is crowned with a spire in 1568 and then restored in the 18th century. The choir of the building is dated from the end of the 15th century, as evidenced by the presence of the Soyecourt coat of arms.
