Eglise Saint-Martin de Nouvion-le-Vineux – Nouvion-le-Vineux

Cette église, qui domine le village, fut construite aux XII et XIIIe. Elle présente l'un des plus beaux clochers romans de la région, orné d'une décoration florale et géométrique d'une grande richesse. Cet édifice affiche un décor encore roman sur une structure gothique. Les chapiteaux du XIIe forment un remarquable ensemble de sculptures. Beaucoup sont historiés, décorés de personnages, d'animaux affrontés, à côté d'autres, garnis d'un ornement floral très raffiné. L'autel et le retable – en marbre et bois doré du XVIIIe – proviennent de l'ancienne abbaye de Cuissy, appartenant à l'ordre des Prémontrés…

This church, which dominates the village, was built in the 12th and 13th centuries. It has one of the most beautiful Romanesque bell towers in the region, decorated with a rich floral and geometric pattern. This building displays a still Romanesque decoration on a Gothic structure. The capitals of the 12th century form a remarkable set of sculptures. Many of them are historiated, decorated with characters and confronted animals, while others are decorated with very refined floral ornamentation. The altar and the altarpiece – in marble and gilded wood from the 18th century – come from the old abbey of Cuissy, belonging to the Prémontrés order…

Diese Kirche, die das Dorf überragt, wurde im 12. und 13. Jahrhundert erbaut. Sie besitzt einen der schönsten romanischen Glockentürme der Region, der mit einer reichen floralen und geometrischen Dekoration geschmückt ist. Esta iglesia, que domina el pueblo, fue construida en los siglos XII y XIII. Posee uno de los campanarios románicos más bellos de la región, decorado con un rico motivo floral y geométrico. Este edificio presenta una decoración todavía románica sobre una estructura gótica. Los capiteles del siglo XII forman un notable grupo escultórico. Muchas de ellas están historiadas, decoradas con personajes y animales enfrentados, mientras que otras presentan una ornamentación floral muy refinada. El altar y el retablo -de mármol y madera dorada del siglo XVIII- proceden de la antigua abadía de Cuissy, perteneciente a la orden de los Prémontrés…
