Ecole Wolf

La très rapide progression de la population à la fin du 19e (plus de 13 000 habitants supplémentaires entre 1885 et 1895) et l’obligation scolaire après l’Annexion déterminent la construction d’écoles, notamment dans les quartiers périphériques du nord de la ville. C’est en 1901 qu’est construite l’élégante école Wolf, avec son clocheton pourvu d’une horloge, ses deux ressauts verticaux qui rompent la monotonie de la façade et percés de portails donnant accès aux classes de garçons d’un côté et aux classes de filles, de l’autre. Elle compte 31 classes en 1907. Le bâtiment n'est pas ouvert aux visites.

The rapid growth of the population at the end of the 19th century (more than 13,000 additional inhabitants between 1885 and 1895) and the obligation to attend school after the Annexation determined the construction of schools, especially in the northern peripheral districts of the city. In 1901, the elegant Wolf School was built, with its bell tower equipped with a clock, its two vertical projections that break the monotony of the façade and pierced with portals giving access to the boys' classes on one side and the girls' classes on the other. It had 31 classes in 1907. The building is not open to visitors.
