COLLÉGIALE SAINT-ETIENNE – Capestang

D’un parfait style gothique, la collégiale Saint-Etienne de Capestang fut élevée au XIVe siècle sur une ancienne église romane par la même équipe qui construisit la cathédrale de Narbonne. En effet, vus de près, les deux monuments se ressemblent étrangement. Malgré son aspect inachevé, cet édifice ne manque pas d’intérêt avec son chœur magnifiquement ajouré et sa tour clocher (accès possible lors des visites "jusqu'au clocher" ) du haut de laquelle vous jouissez d’un magnifique panorama.

Of a perfect Gothic style, the collegiate church of Saint-Etienne de Capestang was built in the 14th century on an ancient Romanesque church by the same team that built the cathedral of Narbonne. Indeed, seen from up close, the two monuments look strangely similar. In spite of its unfinished aspect, this building does not miss interest with its magnificently openwork choir and its bell tower (possible access during the visits "From the top of the Collegiate church") from the top of which you enjoy a splendid panorama.

Die perfekt gotische Stiftskirche Saint-Etienne in Capestang wurde im 14. Jahrhundert auf einer alten romanischen Kirche von demselben Team errichtet, das auch die Kathedrale von Narbonne baute. Aus der Nähe betrachtet ähneln sich die beiden Bauwerke tatsächlich auf verblüffende Weise. Trotz seines unvollendeten Aussehens ist dieses Bauwerk mit seinem wunderschön durchbrochenen Chor und seinem Glockenturm (Zugang im Rahmen der Besichtigungen "Du haut de la Collégiale" möglich), von dem aus Sie ein herrliches Panorama genießen können, nicht uninteressant.

A pesar de su aspecto inacabado, este edificio no carece de interés con su coro magníficamente calado y su campanario (acceso posible durante las visitas "Du haut de la Collégiale") desde cuya cima se puede disfrutar de un magnífico panorama.

Nonostante l'aspetto incompiuto, l'edificio non manca di interesse, con il suo coro magnificamente traforato e il suo campanile (a cui si può accedere con le visite guidate "fino al campanile") dalla cui sommità si gode un magnifico panorama.
