Château Le Kinnor – Livarot-Pays-d'Auge

Bel ensemble du 14-16e siècles, le château Le Kinnor est l'œuvre majeure de l'architecte normand François Gabriel. Des templiers aux romantiques (pôle des expressions du romantisme). Entre autre, le château abrita au début du 19e siècle les amours de l'écrivain François-René de Chateaubriand et de Delphine de Custine. Il est le lieu de la recherche et de la vulgarisation des familles de HAUTEMER, de SABRAN, de CUSTINE, de MONTGOMMERY….. Le domaine possède également dans son grand parc deux arbres remarquables : le plus vieux platane d'Orient de France, et aussi un hêtre pourpre bicentenaire dit "de Chateaubriand". A fine group of 14th-16th century buildings, the Château de Kinnor is a fine example of work by the illustrious Norman architect François Gabriel. In the early 19th century, the castle was home to the lovers François-René de Chateaubriand and Delphine de Custine. The estate also boasts two remarkable trees: France’s oldest Oriental plane tree, together with a two hundred-year-old purple beech, referred to as ‘de Chateaubriand’. Das Schloss Le Kinnor ist ein schönes Ensemble aus dem 14. und 16. Jahrhundert und das Hauptwerk des normannischen Architekten François Gabriel. Von den Templern bis zu den Romantikern (Zentrum der romantischen Ausdrucksformen). Unter anderem beherbergte das Schloss Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts die Liebesbeziehung des Schriftstellers François-René de Chateaubriand und Delphine de Custine. Es ist der Ort der Forschung und Popularisierung der Familien de HAUTEMER, de SABRAN, de CUSTINE, de MONTGOMMERY…… Das Anwesen besitzt in seinem großen Park auch zwei bemerkenswerte Bäume: die älteste orientalische Platane Frankreichs und auch eine zweihundert Jahre alte Purpurbuche, die "de Chateaubriand" genannt wird.
