CHATEAU D'O – Montpellier

À l’origine domaine agricole, le domaine d’O est une folie montpelliéraine érigée au milieu du XVIIIe siècle. Monsieur de Saint-Priest, futur intendant du roi en Languedoc, en commande la construction à l’architecte montpelliérain Charles Gabriel Le Blanc. Pour le dessin du jardin, il est fait appel à Jean Antoine Giral. En 1762 sont commandés de grands travaux hydrauliques afin de doter le parc de vasques, de fontaines et d’un important bassin propre à y donner des fêtes nautiques. Le parc du domaine d'O, ouvert toute l'année et accessible au public, abrite une "folie" montpelliéraine classée monument historique, avec bassins et fontaines : le Château d'O. Au cœur du parc de 23 hectares, vous pouvez flâner dans les jardins méditerranéens, la pinède centenaire et l'oliveraie et pique-niquer en famille ou entre amis. En hiver comme en été, le Domaine accueille de nombreuses animations et des festivals de cirque, théâtre, musique ou cinéma…

The Parc du Domaine d’O is open to the public all year round. It contains a Montpellier folie with ponds and fountains listed as a historical monument: the Château d’O. In the middle of this 23-hectare park you can stroll through Mediterranean gardens, a hundred-year-old pine forest and an olive grove, and enjoy a picnic with family or friends. In winter and summer alike, the Domaine hosts numerous special events as well as circus, theatre, music and cinema festivals.

Der Park des Gutes von O, der ganzjährig geöffnet und für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich ist, birgt eine denkmalgeschützte „Folie“ mit Wasserbecken und Brunnen: das Château d?O. In diesem 23 Hektar großen Park können Sie in mediterranen Gärten, dem hundertjährigen Pinienwald und dem Olivenhain spazieren gehen oder mit der Familie und Freunden picknicken. Winters wie sommers finden auf dem Gut zahlreiche Veranstaltungen und Zirkus-, Theater-, Musik- oder Filmfestivals statt.

Domaine d'O is een folly uit Montpellier, gebouwd halverwege de 18e eeuw en oorspronkelijk een landbouwdomein. Monsieur de Saint-Priest, de toekomstige intendant van de koning in de Languedoc, gaf de Montpellier architect Charles Gabriel Le Blanc de opdracht om het te bouwen. Jean Antoine Giral kreeg de opdracht om de tuin te ontwerpen. In 1762 werd opdracht gegeven voor grote waterwerken om het park uit te rusten met bassins, fonteinen en een groot zwembad voor waterfestivals. Op het terrein van het Domaine d'O, dat het hele jaar open is voor publiek, staat het Château d'O, een geklasseerde 'folly' van Montpellier, compleet met zwembaden en fonteinen. In het hart van het 23 hectare grote park kun je wandelen door de mediterrane tuinen, het honderd jaar oude dennenbos en de olijfgaard, en genieten van een picknick met je familie of vrienden. Zowel in de winter als in de zomer worden er op het landgoed allerlei evenementen en festivals georganiseerd, zoals circus, theater, muziek en film…

El parque del Domaine d’O, abierto todo el año y accesible al público, alberga una "folie" montpellerina clasificada como monumento histórico con estanques y fuentes: el Château d’O. En el centro del parque de 23 hectáreas, podrá pasear por los jardines mediterráneos, la pineda centenaria y el olivar, así como parar a tomar un pícnic en familia o entre amigos. Tanto en invierno como en verano, el parque presenta numerosas animaciones y festivales de circo, teatro, música o cine.

Originariamente una tenuta agricola, il Domaine d'O è una follia di Montpellier costruita a metà del XVIII secolo. Monsieur de Saint-Priest, futuro intendente del re in Linguadoca, ne commissionò la costruzione all'architetto montpellese Charles Gabriel Le Blanc. Jean Antoine Giral fu incaricato di progettare il giardino. Nel 1762 furono commissionate importanti opere idriche per dotare il parco di vasche, fontane e una grande vasca per le feste d'acqua. Il parco del Domaine d'O, aperto al pubblico tutto l'anno, ospita il Château d'O, una "follia" di Montpellier classificata, completa di piscine e fontane. Nel cuore del parco di 23 ettari, potrete passeggiare tra i giardini mediterranei, la pineta centenaria e l'uliveto e fare un picnic con la famiglia o gli amici.
