Château des Barres – Sainpuits

Levé à l’emplacement d’une construction plus ancienne, le Château des Barres date de 1786. L’édifice comprend un corps central, une chapelle et une importante tour située sur le versant ouest. La chapelle a été rénovée à la fin du XIX° dans un style néo-roman caractéristique de l'intérêt pour le moyen âge. De jolies peintures en grisaille représentent des saints et figures de la bible que scandent des architectures de volutes en trompe l’œil. La chapelle est ouverte à la visite.

The Château des Barres was built on the site of an earlier building in 1786. The building consists of a central body, a chapel and a large tower on the west side. The chapel was renovated at the end of the 19th century in a neo-Romanesque style characteristic of the interest in the Middle Ages. Beautiful paintings in grisaille depict saints and figures from the Bible, punctuated by trompe l'oeil scrollwork. The chapel is open to visitors.

Das Château des Barres wurde an der Stelle eines älteren Gebäudes errichtet und stammt aus dem Jahr 1786. Das Gebäude besteht aus einem Hauptteil, einer Kapelle und einem großen Turm auf der Westseite. Die Kapelle wurde Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts in einem neoromanischen Stil renoviert, der typisch für das Interesse am Mittelalter ist. Die hübschen Grisaille-Malereien stellen Heilige und Figuren aus der Bibel dar, die von Trompe-l'œil-Volutenarchitekturen skandiert werden. Die Kapelle kann besichtigt werden.

Het Château des Barres werd gebouwd op de plaats van een eerder gebouw in 1786. Het gebouw bestaat uit een centraal orgaan, een kapel en een grote toren aan de westkant. De kapel werd aan het eind van de 19e eeuw gerenoveerd in een neoromaanse stijl die kenmerkend is voor de belangstelling voor de Middeleeuwen. Prachtige schilderijen in grisaille tonen heiligen en figuren uit de Bijbel, doorspekt met trompe l'oeil rolwerk. De kapel is open voor bezoekers.
