Chapelle Sainte Scholastique – Saint-Jean-d'Assé

La chapelle Sainte Scholastique est un petit joyau roman blotti à l’orée des bois qui dépendait du manoir féodal de Monthibeault (détruit vers 1830). Elle fut dédiée à sainte Scholastique, patronne de la ville du Mans, par le seigneur de Monthibault en 1204. Cet édifice religieux est riche de plusieurs styles s’étalant du XIIe au XVIIIe siècles. À l’intérieur, un retable du XVIIIe siècle comprend les statues de sainte Scholastique, sainte Marguerite, sainte Marie et saint Roch.

The Sainte Scholastique chapel is a small Romanesque jewel nestling at the edge of the woods, which once belonged to the feudal manor of Monthibeault (destroyed around 1830). It was dedicated to Saint Scholastique, patron saint of the city of Le Mans, by the lord of Monthibault in 1204. This religious edifice is rich in several styles, from the 12th to the 18th centuries. Inside, an 18th-century altarpiece features statues of Saint Scholastica, Saint Marguerite, Saint Mary and Saint Roch.

Die Kapelle Sainte Scholastique ist ein kleines romanisches Juwel am Waldrand, das vom feudalen Herrenhaus Monthibeault (um 1830 zerstört) abhing. Der Herr von Monthibault widmete sie 1204 der heiligen Scholastika, der Schutzpatronin der Stadt Le Mans. Dieses religiöse Gebäude ist reich an verschiedenen Stilen, die sich vom 12. bis zum 18.
