Chapelle Saint Libéral – Brive-la-Gaillarde

Erigée ou reconstruite dans l'hyper centre de Brive au début du XVe siècle (peut-être autour de la tombe du Saint auquel elle doit son nom), la Chapelle Saint-Libéral a connu une histoire mouvementée avant d'être cédée à la Ville de Brive en 1976. Inscrite en 1978 à l'inventaire Supplémentaire des Monuments Historiques, cette chapelle de style gothique est depuis les années 1980 un espace d'expositions et d'animations culturelles et propose tout au long de l'année une programmation riche et variée. Depuis septembre 2011, elle est rattachée au Musée Labenche. Accès gratuit.

Erected or rebuilt in the hyper-centre of Brive at the beginning of the 15th century (perhaps around the tomb of the Saint to whom it owes its name), the Chapelle Saint-Libéral had an eventful history before being sold to the City of Brive in 1976. Listed in 1978 in the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments, this Gothic style chapel has been a space for exhibitions and cultural events since the 1980s and offers a rich and varied programme throughout the year. Die Kapelle Saint-Libéral wurde Anfang des 15. Jahrhunderts im Hyperzentrum von Brive errichtet oder wieder aufgebaut (vielleicht um das Grab des Heiligen, dem sie ihren Namen verdankt) und erlebte eine wechselvolle Geschichte, bevor sie 1976 der Stadt Brive übereignet wurde. Die 1978 in das Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments aufgenommene Kapelle im gotischen Stil ist seit den 1980er Jahren ein Ort für Ausstellungen und kulturelle Veranstaltungen und bietet das ganze Jahr über ein reichhaltiges und abwechslungsreiches Programm. De Chapelle Saint-Libéral, gebouwd of herbouwd in het centrum van Brive aan het begin van de 15e eeuw (misschien rond het graf van de heilige waaraan zij haar naam dankt), heeft een bewogen geschiedenis achter de rug voordat zij in 1976 aan de stad Brive werd verkocht.
