Chapelle Royale Notre Dame de Condat – Libourne

Ancienne chapelle et seul vestige du Château de Condat, elle se présente comme un édifice à nef unique de style gothique. A l'extérieur, le portail est surmonté d'une vierge à l'enfant, tandis qu'à l'intérieur, les clefs de voûte représentent les armes de France, la Vierge et l'Enfant Jésus ou encore un archevêque. Elle abrite notamment une vierge à l'enfant en pierre du XVème siècle classée Monument Historique. La chapelle a été entièrement peinte au début du XXème siècle. Miraculeusement, la présence de Viollet-Leduc à Bordeaux a permis de lui offrir les peintures identiques à celles de la Sainte-Chapelle et de la rendre presque aussi célèbre que sa grande soeur parisienne.
