Description
La chapelle de La Madeleine est perchée sur une colline à 795 mètres d'altitude, sur la commune de Tardets-Sohorlus, au Pays basque.
Depuis ce site, et à seulement quinze minutes de Tardets, la vue panoramique est à couper le souffle et une table d'orientation permet d'identifier les sommets environnants. La particularité la plus remarquable de cette chapelle réside sans aucun doute dans ses vitraux aux couleurs vibrantes.
Pour y accéder, les visiteurs ont plusieurs options. Ils peuvent s'y rendre en voiture, à vélo par la même voie ou par les sentiers pour les plus sportifs. La Madeleine est également un lieu prisé pour l'aéromodélisme. Érigée sur les vestiges d'un temple romain, un autel avec une inscription latine dédié au dieu basque Herauskorritxe est exposé au 2ème étage de l'Office de Tourisme.

The chapelle de la Madeleine is located 7 km above Tardets, 7 m from the town square. It was built on the foundations of a Roman temple: a votive altar with a Latin inscription dedicating the altar to the Basque god Herauscoritsehe is preserved at the Herauskorritxe interpretation center in Tardets (on the 2nd floor of the Tourist Office).
There are several ways to get there. The first is by car, along the road that leads to the foot of the chapel. The second is by bike, either on the same road or along the footpaths. Much sportier! The third is on foot, following the signposted itinerary. From the chapelle de la Madeleine, an orientation table shows the location of the surrounding peaks, with the added bonus of a magnificent 360° view over the entire upper Soule valley and the Pyrenees. The site is also very popular with aeromodellers.

Die Magdalenenkapelle, befindet sich 795 m über Tardets, 7 km vom Ort entfernt. Het is gebouwd op de fundamenten van een Romeinse tempel: een votiefaltaar met een Latijnse inscriptie die het altaar opdraagt aan de Baskische god Herauscoritsehe wordt bewaard in het Herauskorritxe interpretatiecentrum in Tardets (op de 2e verdieping van het VVV-kantoor).
Er zijn verschillende manieren om er te komen. De eerste is met de auto, langs de weg die naar de voet van de kapel leidt. De tweede is met de fiets, langs dezelfde weg of de wandelpaden. Een veel sportievere optie! De derde is te voet, langs de bewegwijzerde route. Vanaf de kapel van la Madeleine geeft een oriëntatietafel de ligging van de omliggende bergtoppen aan, met als bonus een prachtig uitzicht van 360° over de hele hoge Soulevallei en de Pyreneeën. La Chapelle de la Madeleine se encuentra a 7 km de Tardets, a 795 m sobre el nivel del mar. Fue construida sobre los cimientos de un templo romano: en el centro de interpretación Herauskorritxe de Tardets (en la 2ª planta de la Oficina de Turismo) se conserva un altar votivo con una inscripción en latín que dedica el altar al dios vasco Herauscoritsehe.
Hay varias formas de llegar. La primera es en coche, por la carretera que lleva al pie de la ermita. La segunda es en bicicleta, por la misma carretera o por los senderos. Una opción mucho más deportiva La tercera es a pie, siguiendo el itinerario señalizado. Desde la capilla de la Madeleine, una tabla de orientación le indica la ubicación de los picos circundantes, con la ventaja añadida de una magnífica vista de 360° sobre todo el alto valle del Soule y los Pirineos. El lugar también es muy popular entre los aeromodelistas.
