Elle propose régulièrement sur site et sur la Place Maurel adjacente des activités pour petits, grands et bel âge : de l’écriture, des expositions, des rencontres, des conférences et bien sûr des présentations de livres. Hors les murs, ZeBus son "outil culturel itinérant" permet la réappropriation de l’espace public par les publics. Tout cela bien entendu en partenariat avec théâtres, écoles, universités, associations, centres sociaux et de loisirs : menant ainsi "couture, culture" une véritable action culturelle territoriale (expositions et spectacles, manifestations et rencontres, ateliers d’écriture, club de lecture, animations scolaires, dons de livres…). L’aspect bibliothèque de prêt, partie visible de l’association, facilite l’accès aux livres. Sauf exception, tous les ouvrages sont ouverts au prêt pour tous après inscription. Elle est gratuite pour les enfants, de 5 euros par an pour les étudiants et de 12 euros pour les autres ( tenant compte des conditions de ressources). Le fond, particulièrement riche pour les enfants, est alimenté régulièrement par des dons, des achats et ouvert aux suggestions des lecteurs. Ville et Département subventionnent partiellement l’association éducative et culturelle qui permet l’ouverture de la bibliothèque. La recherche de nouveaux partenaires, de mécènes et de donateurs est un exercice quotidien pour développer et faire évoluer la Bibliothèque Cézanne.
