Description

Arabo-Andalusian music is the heir to the Arab musical tradition handed down in the 9th century from Baghdad to Cordoba and Granada, thanks to the famous musician Ziryab, who introduced a new classification of this music. From the 12th century onwards, Ibn Baja defined and structured the various rhythmic forms, calling this sequence of played and sung pieces the Nuba. Trio Tarab is committed to reappropriating and disseminating this heritage. Specializing in the classical repertoire, in keeping with the ancestral tradition handed down orally, they have not abandoned the popular repertoire, ranging from Hawzi and Chaâbi to Melhoune.
