Créer, résister, raconter Giraffe Mons est un spectacle poignant qui raconte la vie d’une girafe échappée du zoo de Kharkiv durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, vue à travers les yeux d’un enfant. Cette œuvre délicate relie les horreurs passées à celles du conflit actuel abordant la peur et la solitude sans traumatiser. Créée en pleine guerre en Ukraine, cette création devient un acte de résistance. Les marionnettes et les décors faits de bois et de métal évoquent les ruines de Kharkiv et ses immeubles dévastés. Si la guerre est au cœur du récit, l’émotion n’exclut ni la tendresse ni l’humour. Sans jamais sombrer dans la haine ou le pathos face à cette guerre qui reste malheureusement d’actualité, les artistes ukrainiens insufflent une lumière, une poésie, un espoir. Create, resist, tell Giraffe Mons is a poignant show that recounts the life of a giraffe escaped from the Kharkiv zoo during the Second World War, as seen through the eyes of a child. This delicate work links the horrors of the past with those of the present conflict, addressing fear and loneliness without traumatizing. Created in the midst of the war in Ukraine, this creation becomes an act of resistance. The puppets and sets made of wood and metal evoke the ruins of Kharkiv and its devastated buildings. While war is at the heart of the story, emotion does not exclude tenderness and humor. Without ever lapsing into hatred or pathos in the face of a war that unfortunately remains topical, these Ukrainian artists breathe light, poetry and hope into the story. Le Sablier is showing its solidarity by hosting this show and coordinating its tour of France. Show in Ukrainian with French surtitles. Schaffen, widerstehen, erzählen Giraffe Mons ist ein ergreifendes Stück, das das Leben einer Giraffe, die während des Zweiten Weltkriegs aus dem Zoo von Charkiw entkam, aus der Sicht eines Kindes erzählt. Dieses feinfühlige Werk verbindet die Schrecken der Vergangenheit mit denen des aktuellen Konflikts, indem es Angst und Einsamkeit thematisiert, ohne zu traumatisieren. Das Stück wurde mitten im Krieg in der Ukraine uraufgeführt und wurde zu einem Akt des Widerstands. Die Marionetten und die Kulissen aus Holz und Metall erinnern an die Ruinen von Charkiw und die verwüsteten Gebäude. Der Krieg steht im Mittelpunkt der Erzählung, aber die Emotionen schließen weder Zärtlichkeit noch Humor aus. Ohne jemals in Hass oder Pathos angesichts eines Krieges zu verfallen, der leider immer noch aktuell ist, bringen die ukrainischen Künstler ein Licht, eine Poesie und eine Hoffnung zum Ausdruck. Le Sablier zeigt seine Solidarität, indem es dieses Stück aufnimmt und seine Tournee in Frankreich koordiniert. Die Aufführung findet in ukrainischer Sprache mit französischen Übertiteln statt. Maken, weerstaan, vertellen Giraffe Mons is een aangrijpende voorstelling die het verhaal vertelt van een giraffe die tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog uit de dierentuin van Kharkiv ontsnapte, gezien door de ogen van een kind. Dit delicate werk koppelt de verschrikkingen van het verleden aan die van het huidige conflict en behandelt angst en eenzaamheid zonder te traumatiseren. Gemaakt midden in de oorlog in Oekraïne, wordt deze creatie een daad van verzet. De poppen en decors van hout en metaal doen denken aan de ruïnes van Kharkiv en de verwoeste gebouwen. Hoewel de oorlog centraal staat in het verhaal, sluit emotie tederheid en humor niet uit. Zonder ooit te vervallen in haat of pathos tegenover deze oorlog, die helaas actueel blijft, blazen de Oekraïense kunstenaars licht, poëzie en hoop in het verhaal.
