Ce spectacle dont le titre ne dit rien sinon son inscription dans le registre du foutraque, les deux entités singulières dans le paysage du cirque contemporain que sont ses créateurs choisissent de se relier par le biais d’un objet qui n’est pas reconnu comme un agrès mais qu’ils utilisent comme tel : un meuble en kit de la célèbre marque suédoise « Ce projet se centre sur un mot, une notion, pour laquelle chaque personne a sa propre définition : Le Couple. Alors nous nous sommes demandé comment aborder cette invention sociale qu’est le couple par et pour un spectacle. Et c’est en s’interrogeant sur les différents défis qui viennent éprouver les couples, qu’un d’eux a attiré notre attention : le montage d’un meuble IKEA. Ce sera l’axe de notre spectacle. Un défi absurde, intime et ludique. » Étienne Manceau et Mathieu Despoisse Est-ce que ça rentre dans la case cirque ? En tout cas, il y a une notion de manipulation d’objet dans le spectacle, mais d’un objet imposant et qui est porté : cela amène une certaine physicalité. In this show, whose title says nothing other than that it is in the register of the crazy, the two singular entities in the contemporary circus landscape that are its creators choose to connect through an object that is not recognized as apparatus but which they use as such: a piece of kit furniture from the famous Swedish brand "This project centers on a word, a notion, for which each person has their own definition: The Couple. So we asked ourselves how we could approach the social invention of the couple through and for a show. And it was while pondering the various challenges that couples face that one of them caught our attention: assembling an IKEA piece of furniture. This will be the focus of our show. Wir haben uns also gefragt, wie wir diese soziale Erfindung, die das Paar ist, durch und für eine Aufführung angehen können. Als wir uns mit den verschiedenen Herausforderungen befassten, die Paare zu bewältigen haben, fiel uns eine davon auf: die Montage eines IKEA-Möbels. Der Gegenstand ist für die beiden Freunde auch gleichzeitig das Rückgrat ihres Stücks und eine Metapher für das Thema, das sie darin aufgreifen: das Paar.

Dus vroegen we ons af hoe we deze sociale uitvinding, het koppel, konden benaderen door middel van en voor een show. En door te kijken naar de verschillende uitdagingen waar koppels mee te maken krijgen, trok één daarvan onze aandacht: het in elkaar zetten van een IKEA-meubel. Dit wordt de focus van onze show. Er is in ieder geval sprake van objectmanipulatie in de show, maar een imposant object dat gedragen wordt: dat brengt een zekere lichamelijkheid met zich mee. Voor de twee vrienden is het object zowel de ruggengraat van hun stuk als een metafoor voor het onderwerp dat ze rechtstreeks aanpakken: het koppel.

Así que nos preguntamos cómo podíamos abordar esta invención social que es la pareja a través y para un espectáculo. Y fue observando los diferentes retos a los que se enfrentan las parejas como nos llamó la atención uno de ellos: montar un mueble de IKEA. Este será el centro de nuestro espectáculo. Un reto absurdo, íntimo y lúdico Étienne Manceau y Mathieu Despoisse ¿Encaja con el circo? En cualquier caso, hay una noción de manipulación de objetos en el espectáculo, pero un objeto imponente que se transporta: eso aporta cierta fisicidad. Ci siamo quindi chiesti come avremmo potuto affrontare questa invenzione sociale che è la coppia attraverso e per uno spettacolo. E guardando alle diverse sfide che le coppie devono affrontare, una di queste ha attirato la nostra attenzione: il montaggio di un mobile IKEA. Questo sarà il fulcro del nostro spettacolo. Una sfida assurda, intima e giocosa Étienne Manceau e Mathieu Despoisse È compatibile con il circo? In ogni caso, nello spettacolo c'è una nozione di manipolazione dell'oggetto, ma un oggetto imponente che viene trasportato: questo porta una certa fisicità.
