Exposition : "Pierre et Gilles, mondes marins" – 24-05-2025 – Deauville

Mêlant peinture et photographie dans une esthétique pop et colorée, Pierre et Gilles s'installent aux Franciscaines pour une exposition maritime. Cette exposition met en lumière le thème maritime, source d’inspiration constante tout au long de la carrière des deux artistes. Marins, scènes portuaires et paysages sous-marins y seront à l’honneur. Pour la première fois seront réunies des œuvres iconiques de leurs débuts ainsi qu’une sélection de pièces emblématiques, issues de galeries et de collections privées. Des œuvres spécialement créées pour l’exposition viendront s’ajouter à cette riche présentation. Dernier accès à l'exposition à 17h45.

Combining painting and photography in a colorful pop aesthetic, Pierre et Gilles set up shop at Les Franciscaines for a maritime exhibition. This exhibition highlights the maritime theme, a constant source of inspiration throughout the careers of both artists. Seafarers, port scenes and underwater landscapes will be in the spotlight. For the first time, iconic works from their early years will be brought together with a selection of emblematic pieces from galleries and private collections. Works specially created for the exhibition will be added to this rich presentation. Last admission to the exhibition at 5.45 p.m.

Pierre und Gilles vermischen Malerei und Fotografie in einer farbenfrohen Pop-Ästhetik und lassen sich für eine maritime Ausstellung in den Franziskanerinnen nieder. Diese Ausstellung beleuchtet das Thema Meer, eine ständige Inspirationsquelle während der gesamten Karriere der beiden Künstler. Die Ausstellung zeigt Seemänner, Hafenszenen und Unterwasserlandschaften. Zum ersten Mal werden ikonische Werke aus der Anfangszeit der beiden Künstler zusammen mit einer Auswahl ikonischer Stücke aus Galerien und Privatsammlungen gezeigt. Die Ausstellung wird durch eigens für die Ausstellung geschaffene Werke ergänzt. Letzter Einlass in die Ausstellung um 17:45 Uhr.
