Histoires formelles, techniques et humaines Les meubles sont créateurs d’histoires formelles, techniques et humaines. Sans cesse réutilisés, ils ne sont pas soumis au temps et frôlent donc l’immortalité. Cinquante meubles se dévoilent au fil de la visite donnant naissance à une exposition qui porte une double ambition. Proposer un panorama des meubles du quotidien domestique, mais pas n’importe lesquels, ceux qui ont été offerts en présent diplomatique à l’État français entre 1995 et 2007 (coffres), et ceux qui ont habillés les parties tant publiques que privées des résidences présidentielles, dont le Palais de l’Élysée entre le XIXe siècle et 2024 (sièges, guéridons, etc.). Avec, la 30e exposition temporaire du musée, c’est un nouveau voyage culturel entre la Corrèze et le Vietnam, en passant par le Mexique et l’Océanie, qui vous attend.
