Description
English
There is no society without animals. As sources of food, for pulling or carrying, they can also be dangerous or harmful. Some are tamed and become pets, while others are indifferent to us. Wild or domesticated, their presence has always been part of our daily lives. But this close relationship is not the only link that binds us to the animal world: animals are also present in legends, superstitions, myths and religions.
The relationship between humans and animals is at the heart of this new presentation. Based on the museum?s chronology, from prehistory to the end of the Middle Ages, some 70 naturalized animals take over the space.
