Le Bureau d'Information Touristique de Saint-Chély d’Apcher accueille les peintures de Nelly Naumann. Originaire de Haute Lozère, Nelly a grandi et vit dans un petit hameau en bordure des Gorges de la Truyère, en pleine nature. Très tôt, elle a développé une attirance pour les animaux avec une affection particulière pour les chats. Elle a commencé à dessiner jeune, notamment des portraits familiaux, puis a cheminé vers la couleur et la peinture. Admirative du travail de nombreux artistes peintres, elle a opté pour la peinture à l’huile et comme support le bois. Sensible au monde animal, elle s'est consacrée à ce thème avec émotion. Ils sont, elle les voit, avec leurs regards, leurs attitudes, leurs couleurs… Elle les aime. les choix sont éclectiques, de la vache à la coccinelle.
