El Duende is the personification of a complex concept that has many meanings in Spanish popular culture, particularly flamenco. In the persona of a Spanish émigré in the late 1930s, he takes us from his birth in ancient Greece to his profound, elusive and fascinating nature. El Duende, ist hier die Personifizierung eines komplexen Konzepts, das auf mehrere Bedeutungen in der spanischen Populärkultur, insbesondere der des Flamenco, verweist. In der Figur eines spanischen Emigranten der späten 1930er Jahre führt er uns von seiner Geburt im antiken Griechenland bis zu seiner tiefsten Natur, die schwer fassbar und faszinierend ist. El Duende is de personificatie van een complex begrip dat vele betekenissen heeft in de Spaanse populaire cultuur, met name in de flamenco. In de persona van een Spaanse emigrant aan het eind van de jaren 1930 neemt hij ons mee van zijn geboorte in het oude Griekenland naar zijn diepe, ongrijpbare en fascinerende natuur.
