Soirée IN/OFF en partenariat avec l’association Jazz off Colmar – Spécial « Jazz Migration ». NUBU – France – Découverte Jazz Une rencontre malicieuse entre des instruments d’époques différentes : le serpent, le flugabone, le trombone, les percussions à peaux animales, la contrebasse. Un espace de liberté formidable pour la voix, traitée comme une matière à part entière, élastique, rebondissante, nourrie de scansions, de yodels, de cris. NUBU se joue avec gourmandise des époques, explore le mariage des timbres et invente un singulier folklore. Une musique intemporelle autant que contemporaine, entre jazz, folk anglo-saxon, chansons, et improvisations explosives, puissamment énergisantes. NUBU offre au serpent – à la charge mystique qu’il suggère et à son timbre tombé dans l’oubli – une place inattendue dans un présent ébouriffant. MARSAVRIL – France – Découverte Jazz Deux attitudes face au désordre. Faire le gros dos et attendre, ou danser sur les décombres. Sortis au printemps 2023, le double EP, MARS puis AVRIL, sonne compact, complice et comptable, comme le groupe en live. Économie de moyens pour émotion en grande largeur, son forgé par une amitié solide. MARSAVRIL fait ce qui lui plaît, associe les structures complexes à son désir de danse. MARSAVRIL défriche certes une forme d’épure, de beauté et de mélancolie, mais aussi un imaginaire, humble et têtu, puissant et chaleureux. NUBU – France – Jazz Discovery A mischievous encounter between instruments from different eras: snake, flugabone, trombone, animal-skin percussion and double bass. A tremendous space of freedom for the voice, treated as a material in its own right, elastic, bouncing, nourished by scansions, yodels and cries. NUBU greedily plays with eras, explores the marriage of timbres and invents a singular folklore. Their music is as timeless as it is contemporary, a blend of jazz, Anglo-Saxon folk, songs and explosive, powerfully energizing improvisations. NUBU offers the snake – with the mystical charge it suggests and its timbre that has fallen into oblivion – an unexpected place in a dazzling present. MARSAVRIL – France – Jazz Discovery Two attitudes to disorder. Play it safe and wait, or dance on the rubble. Released in the spring of 2023, the double EP, MARS then APRIL, sounds compact, complicit and accountable, like the band live. Economy of means for broad emotion, sound forged by a solid friendship. MARSAVRIL does what it likes, combining complex structures with a desire to dance. MARSAVRIL certainly uncovers a form of purity, beauty and melancholy, but also an imagination that is humble and stubborn, powerful and warm. NUBU spielt genüsslich mit den Epochen, erforscht die Verbindung von Klangfarben und erfindet eine einzigartige Folklore. Eine zeitlose und zeitgenössische Musik zwischen Jazz, angelsächsischem Folk, Chansons und explosiven Improvisationen, die mächtig energetisierend wirken. De stem krijgt een enorme vrijheid, wordt behandeld als een op zichzelf staand materiaal, elastisch en springerig, gevoed door scansies, jodels en kreten. NUBU speelt gretig met tijdperken, verkent het huwelijk van klankkleuren en vindt een eigen folklore uit. Hun muziek is even tijdloos als eigentijds, een mix van jazz, Angelsaksische folk, liedjes en explosieve, krachtig energieke improvisaties. NUBU biedt de slang – met de mystieke lading die het suggereert en zijn timbre dat in de vergetelheid is geraakt – een onverwachte plaats in een duizelingwekkend heden. NUBU ofrece a la serpiente -con la carga mística que sugiere y su timbre caído en el olvido- un lugar inesperado en un presente deslumbrante. I NUBU giocano avidamente con le epoche, esplorano il connubio di timbri e inventano un folklore singolare. La loro musica è tanto senza tempo quanto contemporanea, una miscela di jazz, folk anglosassone, canzoni e improvvisazioni esplosive e potenti.
