Description
Chez Soi L'ÉOLIENNE Two back-to-back sofas serve as apparatus and backdrop for the acro-choreographic story of an encounter between a man and a woman. An everyday object of introspection, the sofa shelters the body in different states of being, both intimate and reflexive. Sheltered from the tumult of the world, at home, each of the two acrobats embodies a protected and inventive solitude before the poetic incursion of one body into the universe of the other. This show is inspired by an essay by Mona Chollet entitled Chez Soi. In it, the essayist questions the way in which the sharing of space shapes our relationship to the world and to others. With her choreographic circus vocabulary, Florence Caillon translates this topical reflection into movement. She invites you to observe the moment of connection to the other, when it can be both a tender, balanced adventure or a devious game sliding towards a straitjacket.
