Peu à peu se révèle une scène envahie par la paille. Un être en émerge, comme issu du ventre de la terre… Avec Ancrage, Modou Fata Touré propose un spectacle empreint d’humanité et profondément nourri par sa terre d’origine. Sur le plateau, l’engagement est total, oscillant entre poids, tension et équilibre. Les corps s’affrontent et se supportent, se jaugent et s’apprivoisent, pour finalement trouver leur point d’ancrage. L’écriture, libre et, plurielle, esquisse le nouveau visage du cirque africain contemporain.

Gradually, a straw-covered stage is revealed. A being emerges, as if from the belly of the earth? With Ancrage, Modou Fata Touré presents a show imbued with humanity and deeply nourished by his native land. On stage, the commitment is total, oscillating between weight, tension and balance. Bodies confront and support each other, sizing each other up and taming each other, before finally finding their anchorage. The writing, free and plural, sketches the new face of contemporary African circus.

Nach und nach enthüllt sich eine Bühne, die mit Stroh bedeckt ist. Ein Wesen taucht auf, wie aus dem Bauch der Erde? Mit Ancrage präsentiert Modou Fata Touré ein Stück, das von Menschlichkeit geprägt und tief von seiner Heimat genährt ist. Auf der Bühne ist das Engagement total, es schwankt zwischen Gewicht, Spannung und Gleichgewicht. Die Körper kämpfen gegeneinander und unterstützen sich, messen sich und zähmen sich, um schließlich ihren Ankerpunkt zu finden. Die freie und pluralistische Handschrift skizziert das neue Gesicht des zeitgenössischen afrikanischen Zirkus.

Beetje bij beetje wordt een toneel onthuld dat is overspoeld door stro. Een wezen komt tevoorschijn, als uit de buik van de aarde? Met Ancrage brengt Modou Fata Touré een voorstelling die doordrenkt is van menselijkheid en diep gevoed is door zijn thuisland. Op het podium is de betrokkenheid totaal, schommelend tussen gewicht, spanning en evenwicht. De lichamen confronteren en ondersteunen elkaar, schatten elkaar op en temmen elkaar, voordat ze uiteindelijk hun ankerplaats vinden. De tekst, vrij en meervoudig, schetst het nieuwe gezicht van het hedendaagse Afrikaanse circus.
