As part of Occitanie Artists’ Studio Day, artist Jean-Humbert Savoldelli invites you to visit his studio. Painting.

ARTISTIC APPROACH: In 1995, I completed an Advanced Course in Decorative Painting, which trained me in the techniques of trompe-l’œil and the imitation of materials such as marble, wood, etc. Starting in 1996, I put the skills I acquired during this training into practice by painting all kinds of trompe-l’oeil, frescoes, and more in private homes and public spaces. Among other projects, I painted a fresco at the Méridien Royal Mansour Hotel in Casablanca and The Fisherman’s Cove in the Seychelles. In 2013, I radically changed my easel painting style, swapping brushes and oils for palette knives and acrylics, moving from hyperrealism to abstract art, or abstract expressionism. In 2015, I opened my studio-gallery, located in a barn adjacent to my home. Silhouettes are somewhat my trademark; they lend the works a figurative and human touch, rooted in an invitation to daydreaming, poetry, and the pursuit of a certain elegance. Many of my paintings have found their way to numerous countries thanks to collaborations with the international galleries “SAATCHIART” (USA), “TRICERA” (Japan), and “ARTMAJEUR” (France).

Im Rahmen des Tages der Künstlerateliers in Okzitanien öffnet der Künstler Jean-Humbert Savoldelli die Türen seines Ateliers. Malerei.
