Après une carrière de danseuse professionnelle au New York City Ballet et au Boston Ballet, j’ai trouvé dans la peinture un autre moyen d’explorer le mouvement. Chaque tableau naît souvent d’une musique, d’un rythme ou d’un souvenir corporel. J’y cherche non pas à représenter la danse de façon documentaire, mais à saisir son énergie, sa présence fugitive dans l’espace. Entre New York et le Lot, mon atelier est un espace de recherche où gestes, couleurs et formes traduisent ce que le corps ressent et ce que l’œil perçoit. C’est un lieu de travail, mais aussi de mémoire, où se rencontrent peinture, musique et mouvement.&quot;</span></p>

After a career as a professional dancer with the New York City Ballet and the Boston Ballet, I found in painting another way to explore movement. Each painting often arises from a piece of music, a rhythm, or a bodily memory. My aim is not to represent dance in a documentary style, but to capture its energy, its fleeting presence in space. Between New York and the Lot region, my studio is a space for exploration where gestures, colors, and shapes convey what the body feels and what the eye perceives. It is a place of work, but also of memory, where painting, music, and movement come together.&quot;</span></p>

Nach einer Karriere als professionelle Tänzerin beim New York City Ballet und beim Boston Ballet habe ich in der Malerei eine weitere Möglichkeit gefunden, Bewegung zu erforschen. Jedes Gemälde entsteht oft aus Musik, einem Rhythmus oder einer körperlichen Erinnerung. Dabei versuche ich nicht, den Tanz dokumentarisch darzustellen, sondern seine Energie und seine flüchtige Präsenz im Raum einzufangen. Zwischen New York und dem Lot ist mein Atelier ein Ort der Forschung, an dem Gesten, Farben und Formen das wiedergeben, was der Körper empfindet und was das Auge wahrnimmt. Es ist ein Ort der Arbeit, aber auch der Erinnerung, an dem Malerei, Musik und Bewegung aufeinandertreffen.&quot;</span></p>

Na een carrière als professioneel danseres bij het New York City Ballet en het Boston Ballet heb ik in de schilderkunst een andere manier gevonden om beweging te verkennen. Elk schilderij ontstaat vaak vanuit muziek, een ritme of een lichamelijke herinnering. Ik probeer daarbij niet de dans op documentaire wijze weer te geven, maar de energie ervan vast te leggen, de vluchtige aanwezigheid ervan in de ruimte. Tussen New York en de Lot is mijn atelier een onderzoeksruimte waar gebaren, kleuren en vormen uitdrukking geven aan wat het lichaam voelt en wat het oog waarneemt.
