C’est aux portes de Saint-Rémy-de-Provence que le domaine de Château Romanin s’est épanoui au fil du temps, au pied des ruines d’un château Templier du XIIIème siècle. Le cirque rocheux du versant nord des Alpilles abrite les 250 hectares du domaine (dont 58 ha de vignobles, 4 ha d’oliviers et 2,5 ha d’amandiers), depuis 1988. En biodynamie depuis sa création, le domaine produit 45% de rouge, 40% de rosé et 15% de blanc avec des cépages typiquement provençaux et un savoir-faire humain qui permet aux vins d’exprimer au mieux les saveurs du terroir au cœur de l’AOP les Baux-de-Provence. L’élément caractérisant le site est son Chai Cathédrale où les vins grandissent paisiblement dans des conditions optimales : température constante, humidité nécessaire dans l’obscurité. C’est en 2006 que M. et Mme Charmolüe ont acquis le domaine Romanin. Habitués de la Provence et visiteurs assidus, ils sont tombés sous le charme du vignoble. Jean-Louis Charmolüe, descendant d’une famille qui a su guider la propriété de Château Montrose vers l’excellence (Second Grand Cru Classé Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux) avait comme objectif de porter au plus haut les vins de Château Romanin. 15 ans plus tard, Anne Marie Charmolüe poursuit son engagement : celui de créer des vins d'exceptions dans le terroir des Alpilles. On the outskirts of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, the domain of Château Romanin has flourished through time, below the ruins of a 13th century Templar castle. The 250 hectares of the domain are located since 1988 on the northern slope of the Alpilles, with 58 ha of vineyard, 4 ha of olive trees and 2.5 ha of almond trees. In biodynamics since its origins, the domain produces 45% of red wine, 40% of rosé and 15% of white wine, with traditional grape varieties from Provence, and winemaking skills allowing the wines to best express the soil of the Baux-de-Provence PDO. The most impressive element of the site is its Cathedral Cellar, where the wines mature peacefully in optimal conditions: constant temperature, humidity, obscurity. Vor den Toren von Saint-Rémy-de-Provence ist das Weingut Château Romanin im Laufe der Zeit am Fuße der Ruinen einer Templerburg aus dem 13. Jahrhundert gewachsen.
