Issu du maraîchage traditionnel, Alain BURBAN a fondé en 1983 l’entreprise BURBAN Production avec son frère, Joël. Abandonnant un certain nombre de cultures, ils ont progressivement privilégié celle de la fraise. Depuis 2007, les deux fils d’Alain, Stéphane et Xavier assurent la relève en conservant l’esprit familial… Aujourd’hui BURBAN Production c’est 2 gérants, 3 salariés à l’année, 50 saisonniers, plus de 300 000 plants de fraisiers par an, presque 200 tonnes de fraises produites sur une surface de 7 hectares. Mais c’est aussi des framboises, des pommes de terre nouvelles et des melons. L'éco-agriculture chez BURBAN Production : – Un substrat composé d'un mélange de tourbe blonde et de tourbe brune.  – Une lutte Biologique Intégrée : lutte biologique grâce aux insectes « utiles », en partenariat avec la société Symbiose. – Arrosage au « goutte à goutte », pour une gestion économe et équilibrée des ressources en eau. – Pollinisation par introduction de bourdons en début de floraison. – Utilisation d’emballages recyclés et recyclage de nos propres emballages. – Compostage des fins de cultures. Les fraises, framboises, confitures, coulis, pommes de terre, asperges et melons de chez Burban sont disponibles sur les marchés, et sur place pour les fraises et framboises, à travers les grandes cueillettes de mai à septembre (fraises) et juin à septembre (framboises).
