Les réalisations de Christine Waxweiler sont réalisées en grès et cuites à 1280°. Elle est très sensible à la matière et à la couleur. Durant de nombreuses années, Christine Waxweiler a travaillé sur d'anciennes recettes d'émail qu'elle s'est appropriées puis qu'elle a revisité. Elle a orienté cette recherche vers ses ressentis, ses émotions et son attirance vers la matière, le bouillonnement des masses. Cette orientation est très personnelle, mais donne jour à une nouvelle écriture céramique. Ses pièces sont des sculptures (disques, cubes…), des panneaux muraux ou des éléments d'art de la table comme des yunomis, petites tasses et chawans.

Christine Waxweiler's creations are made in stoneware and fired at 1280°. She is very sensitive to material and color. For many years, Christine Waxweiler has worked with old enamel recipes, which she has appropriated and revisited. She has directed this research towards her feelings, her emotions and her attraction to matter, the bubbling of masses. This orientation is highly personal, but gives rise to a new ceramic style. Her pieces include sculptures (disks, cubes, etc.), wall panels and tableware such as yunomis, small cups and chawans.
