Sentier de la cité 14 – Marckolsheim

La cité XIV a vu le jour en 1958, lors des travaux d’aménagement du Grand Canal d’Alsace. Occupée pendant 10 ans par les ouvriers du chantier et leur famille, elle pouvait abriter jusqu’à 3 000 personnes et comportait de nombreux services. Abandonnée en 1968, la cité est aujourd’hui aménagée en sentier de promenade, jalonné de panneaux présentant le milieu naturel.

The city XIV was created in 1958, during the development of the Grand Canal d'Alsace. Occupied for 10 years by the site workers and their families, it could house up to 3,000 people and included many services. Abandoned in 1968, the city is now laid out as a walking trail, dotted with panels presenting the natural environment.

Die Cité XIV entstand 1958 während der Bauarbeiten für den Grand Canal d'Alsace. Sie wurde 10 Jahre lang von den Arbeitern der Baustelle und ihren Familien bewohnt und bot bis zu 3.000 Personen Platz und zahlreiche Dienstleistungen. Die 1968 verlassene Siedlung ist heute ein Wanderweg, der mit Schildern über die natürliche Umgebung gekennzeichnet ist.

De cité XIV werd gebouwd in 1958, tijdens de aanleg van het Grand Canal d'Alsace. Het werd 10 jaar lang bewoond door de bouwvakkers en hun gezinnen en kon tot 3.000 mensen huisvesten en bevatte veel diensten. Verlaten in 1968, is de nederzetting nu een wandelpad, met borden die de natuurlijke omgeving voorstellen.

La urbanización XIV se construyó en 1958 durante la construcción del Gran Canal de Alsacia. Ocupado durante 10 años por los trabajadores de la construcción y sus familias, podía albergar hasta 3.000 personas e incluía numerosos servicios. Abandonado en 1968, el asentamiento es ahora una ruta de senderismo, con señales que presentan el entorno natural.

Il complesso residenziale XIV è stato costruito nel 1958 durante la costruzione del Grand Canal d'Alsace. Occupato per 10 anni dagli operai edili e dalle loro famiglie, poteva ospitare fino a 3.000 persone e comprendeva numerosi servizi. Abbandonato nel 1968, l'insediamento è ora un sentiero escursionistico, con cartelli che presentano l'ambiente naturale.
