La Cheminote – Capdenac-Gare

Une balade autour d’une ville à la campagne, depuis la rive du Lot jusqu’aux hauteurs du Causse Blanc. Capdenac-Gare est une ville moderne inventée autour du train et de la gare. Dans les terres d’une ancienne ferme, autour de 1860, s’ins- talla un nœud ferroviaire, autour duquel un village se développa. La randonnée chemine autour de Capdenac-Gare, devenue petite ville et commune indépendante, entre vallée du Lot et premiers contreforts du Causse. Elle longe aussi le Lot, terroir spécifique marqué par les inondations et, de fait, les limons. Enfin, elle per- met d’admirer l’éperon rocheux sur lequel s’est posée la citadelle de Capdenac-le-Haut.

A walk around a town in the countryside, from the banks of the Lot to the heights of the Causse Blanc. Capdenac-Gare is a modern town built around the train and the station. Around 1860, a railway junction was built in the grounds of an old farm, and a village grew up around it. The trail winds around Capdenac-Gare, now a small town and independent commune, between the Lot valley and the foothills of the Causse.
