Ensuite, n’hésitez pas à vous arrêter au château de Villaines à Louplande pour visiter ce bel édifice du 17ème et son jardin à la française. The circuit starts in the Plantagenêt city, the historical heart of Le Mans. This circuit will take you on the banks of the Sarthe river to discover the Mancelle countryside dotted with hedged farmland and valleys, typical of the Cenoman landscape. On your way, you will also be able to admire a built religious heritage, rich in chapels and churches (Saint Georges du Bois, Flacé, Souligné-Flacé, St Aubin Chapel). In Voivres lès le Mans, you will discover the recently restored hemp oven. Then, do not hesitate to stop at the Château de Villaines in Louplande to visit this beautiful 17th century building and its French garden. Note the interpretation trail of Pruillé-le-Chétif on the loop proposed as an option.
