Venez découvrir la boucle de randonnée de Lamothe Montravel; dans le bourg, admirez l'église Saint Paixent ainsi que la mairie abritée dans une tour médiévale, seul vestige de la forteresse d'antan. A proximité de la boucle ,dans la plaine de Lamothe Montravel, à Colly, entre la Dordogne et la Lidoire se livra le 17 juillet 1453, la bataille dite «de Castillon». Celle-ci mis fin à la guerre de 100 ans.Le général John Talbot qui commandait l’armée anglaise fut vaincu et tué. Un monument en commémore l’événement.

Near the loop, in the plain of Lamothe Montravel, in Colly, between the Dordogne and the Lidoire, the battle of Castillon took place on 17 July 1453. General John Talbot, who commanded the English army, was defeated and killed. A monument commemorates the event.
