Sculpture en Ardoise et bois. Peinture abstraite. Pierre Martin est né en 1969. Il étudie l'histoire de l’art et le Design à Paris aux Ateliers ENSCI. Depuis l'âge de 14 ans, la peinture abstraite des années 1940 / 1950 (Soulages, Ubac et Tapiès) l'attire et le fascine. Ces influences le conduisent bientôt vers le Zen Soto japonais. Son rapport à la nature s'en trouve totalement transformé. Il cultive son vocabulaire de sculpteur plasticien en sondant le vide et l'immanence de l'Être à travers la vérité du réel. Son travail de l'Ardoise et des schistes se traduit maintenant par des confrontations entre signe et relief. Présent en galerie, dans des collections privées en Europe, au Japon, aux états unis, au canada, il réalise également des pièces monumentales en commande publique.

Since the age of 14, abstract painting of the 1940s / 1950s (Soulages, Ubac and Tapiès) attracts and fascinates him. These influences soon led him towards Japanese Soto Zen. His relationship with nature is totally transformed. He cultivates his vocabulary as a plastic sculptor by probing the emptiness and immanence of Being through the truth of reality. His work with slate and schist now translates into confrontations between sign and relief. Present in galleries and private collections in Europe, Japan, the United States and Canada, he also creates monumental pieces for public commissions.

Skulptur aus Schiefer und Holz. Abstrakte Malerei. Pierre Martin wurde 1969 geboren. Er studiert Kunstgeschichte und Design in Paris an der Ateliers ENSCI. Seit seinem 14. Lebensjahr zieht ihn die abstrakte Malerei der 1940er / 1950er Jahre (Soulages, Ubac und Tapiès) an und fasziniert ihn. Diese Einflüsse führten ihn bald zum japanischen Zen Soto. Seine Beziehung zur Natur wird dadurch völlig verändert. Er kultiviert sein Vokabular als plastischer Bildhauer, indem er die Leere und die Immanenz des Seins durch die Wahrheit des Realen erforscht. Seine Arbeit mit Schiefer und Schiefergestein äußert sich nun in Konfrontationen zwischen Zeichen und Relief. Er ist in Galerien und Privatsammlungen in Europa, Japan, den Vereinigten Staaten und Kanada vertreten und fertigt auch monumentale Werke im öffentlichen Auftrag an.

Zijn relatie met de natuur was totaal veranderd. Hij cultiveert zijn vocabulaire als plastisch beeldhouwer door de leegte en immanentie van het Zijn te onderzoeken via de waarheid van de werkelijkheid. Zijn werk met leisteen en schist wordt nu vertaald in confrontaties tussen teken en reliëf. Hij is aanwezig in galeries en privécollecties in Europa, Japan, de Verenigde Staten en Canada en maakt ook monumentale stukken voor openbare opdrachten.
