Amfreville, a town in an undeniably strategic position, was occupied for 4 years by German soldiers, then for 2 months by the Allies. A look back at a supposedly lightning operation that became trench warfare in the face of German resistance. Registration required at one of our 4 tourist offices or online.

Amfreville, ein Städtchen mit einer unbestreitbaren strategischen Position, wurde vier Jahre lang von deutschen Soldaten und anschließend zwei Monate lang von den Alliierten besetzt. Ein Rückblick auf eine vermeintliche Blitzoperation, die sich angesichts des deutschen Widerstands zu einem Grabenkrieg entwickelte.
