Le port de Cantimpré A la jonction entre l’Escaut canalisé et le canal de Saint-Quentin, le port de Cantimpré est aménagé dès 1862 et devient à la fin du XIXe siècle un important port fluvial, qui réunit les Docks et Entrepôts, la Chambre de Commerce et de nombreuses industries. Plus d’une centaine de péniches y transitent alors journellement. Aujourd’hui, la plaisance constitue l'essentiel de son activité.

Der Hafen von Cantimpré An der Verbindung zwischen der kanalisierten Schelde und dem Kanal von Saint-Quentin wurde der Hafen von Cantimpré ab 1862 angelegt und entwickelte sich Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts zu einem wichtigen Flusshafen, in dem die Docks et Entrepôts, die Handelskammer und zahlreiche Industriebetriebe angesiedelt waren. Damals wurden täglich mehr als 100 Lastkähne abgefertigt. Heute ist die Freizeitschifffahrt der wichtigste Wirtschaftszweig des Hafens.
