Vignoble Altenberg de Wolxheim – Wolxheim

Le vignoble de Wolxheim est réputé pour son célèbre riesling. En plus du Grand Cru Altenberg, tout les cépages y sont représentés. Un sentier viticole parcours le vignoble. Au cœur des vignes se dresse la statue du Sacré-Coeur. De nombreuses congrégations religieuses possédaient des parts dans le vignoble de Wolxheim : l’évêché de Strasbourg (1003), l’abbaye de Sainte-Odile (1188), les bénédictins d’Altorf (1192), l’hôpital de Strasbourg (1320). Au pied du rocher du Horn, ce vignoble bénéficie d'une exposition remarquable avec un microclimat idéal, très sec.
