Le site du belvédère de Saint-Jean-d'Etreux domine la plaine de Bresse et offre une vue imprenable sur celle-ci jusqu'aux monts du Mâconnais et du Chalonnais. Deux points de vue :
– devant l'église, un panneau d'information est présent à cet endroit.
– en suivant la route de Nantey (table de pique-nique) L’église est inscrite aux monuments historiques en 1946.
Observez ici un bel exemple de clocher octogonal sur une solide souche carrée. La tour, à l’étage supérieur est percée d’une fenêtre gothique à remplage sur les huit côtés. Elle est sommée d’une flèche élancée.
Le clocher mesure 32 m de haut, la flèche est en tuf.

The Saint-Jean-d'Etreux belvedere overlooks the Bresse plain, offering uninterrupted views all the way to the Mâconnais and Chalonnais mountains. Two viewpoints:
– in front of the church, where there is an information board.
– along the route de Nantey (picnic table) The church was listed as a historic monument in 1946.
This is a fine example of an octagonal bell tower on a solid square base. The tower, on the upper floor, has a Gothic window with infill on eight sides. It is topped by a slender spire.
The bell tower is 32 m high and the spire is made of tufa.
