Village de Charnois

Des temps anciens, on y découvre l'église Saint-Rémi qui date de 1750 ou bien encore la fontaine de 1864, dédiée à Saint-Quirin. L'édifice rappelle le martyr de l'officier romain converti au Christianisme et dont le corps fut jeté dans un lac."Les eaux de ce lac avaient des vertus thérapeutiques… comme la fontaine du village, qui associée à une plante, avait également des vertus médicinales pour la peau.C'est à partir de ces constatations que fut associé le destin de cet homme à la fontaine, laquelle fut restaurée en pierre bleue grâce à des mécènes charnoisiens."

From ancient times, we discover the Saint-Rémi church which dates back to 1750 or the fountain of 1864, dedicated to Saint-Quirin. The building recalls the martyrdom of the Roman officer who converted to Christianity and whose body was thrown into a lake: "The waters of this lake had therapeutic virtues… like the village fountain, which, combined with a plant, also had medicinal virtues for the skin. It was from these observations that the destiny of this man was associated with the fountain, which was restored in blue stone thanks to Charnoisian patrons"

Aus alten Zeiten stammen die Kirche Saint-Rémi aus dem Jahr 1750 oder der Brunnen aus dem Jahr 1864, der Saint-Quirin gewidmet ist. Das Gebäude erinnert an das Martyrium des römischen Offiziers, der zum Christentum konvertierte und dessen Leichnam in einen See geworfen wurde.
