Ruines de la chapelle de Villemartin – Mouliets-et-Villemartin

La chapelle de Villemartin remonte à la période du roman tardif (fin XIIe, début XIIIe siècle). L'entrée se fait au sud par un magnifique portail possédant une archivolte polylobée reposant sur deux colonnes à chapiteaux sculptés. La chapelle est agencée en trois travées : les deux premières composent la nef et la troisième le sanctuaire. Cet édifice, construit selon un plan rectangulaire, se termine par un chevet plat éclairé par trois fenêtres ogivales. La chapelle appartenait à l’ordre des Hospitaliers de Saint-Jean de Jérusalem.

The chapel of Villemartin dates back to the late Romanesque period (late 12th, early 13th century). The entrance is on the south side through a magnificent portal with a poly-lobed archivolt resting on two columns with sculpted capitals. The chapel is arranged in three bays: the first two make up the nave and the third the sanctuary. This building, built on a rectangular plan, ends with a flat chevet lit by three ogival windows. The chapel belonged to the order of the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem.

Die Kapelle von Villemartin stammt aus der Zeit der Spätromanik (Ende des 12., Anfang des 13. Jahrhunderts). Der Eingang befindet sich im Süden durch ein prächtiges Portal mit einer polylobalen Archivolte, die auf zwei Säulen mit geschnitzten Kapitellen ruht. Die Kapelle ist in drei Felder unterteilt: Die ersten beiden Felder bilden das Kirchenschiff und das dritte Feld das Heiligtum. Das Gebäude wurde auf einem rechteckigen Grundriss errichtet und endet mit einem flachen Kopfende, das von drei spitzbogigen Fenstern erhellt wird. Die Kapelle gehörte dem Orden der Hospitaliter des Heiligen Johannes von Jerusalem.

De kapel bestaat uit drie traveeën: de eerste twee vormen het schip en de derde het heiligdom. Dit gebouw, gebouwd op een rechthoekige plattegrond, eindigt met een vlakke chevet, verlicht door drie ogivale ramen. De kapel behoorde toe aan de Hospitaalridders van Sint Jan van Jeruzalem.

La capilla está dispuesta en tres tramos: los dos primeros conforman la nave y el tercero el santuario. Este edificio, de planta rectangular, termina con una cabecera plana iluminada por tres ventanas ojivales. La capilla perteneció a los Hospitalarios de San Juan de Jerusalén.

L'ingresso è da sud attraverso un magnifico portale con un archivolto polilobato che poggia su due colonne con capitelli scolpiti. La cappella è disposta in tre campate: le prime due costituiscono la navata centrale e la terza il santuario. L'edificio, costruito a pianta rettangolare, termina con un chevet piatto illuminato da tre finestre ogivali. La cappella apparteneva agli Ospitalieri di San Giovanni di Gerusalemme.
