Parc de Richelieu – Richelieu

Après avoir arpenté « la cité idéale » de Richelieu, modèle d’urbanisme du XVIIe siècle, il fait bon longer la rivière du parc aux marronniers séculaires qui abrita le château du cardinal. Bâti vers 1630 par les architectes de Louis XIII, il fut le plus grand château de France jamais construit avant Versailles. De ce vaste édifice démoli au XIXe siècle, il ne reste qu’un pavillon, l’orangerie et le chai.
