Le Château d'Olhain

C’est vers 1200 que Hugues D’Olhain, capitaine croisé, armé chevalier au siège de Constantinople, édifia cet ensemble défensif. Conservé en ses plans d’origine avec sa « baille », le château d’Olhain est l’un des plus beaux exemples de château fort des plaines du nord de l’Europe. It was around 1200 that Hugues D'Olhain, a crusader captain, armed as a knight at the siege of Constantinople, built this defensive complex. Preserved in its original plans with its "baille", the castle of Olhain is one of the most beautiful examples of fortified castle of the plains of northern Europe.
