La grande ourse

L’œuvre intitulée La Grande ourse a été installée au Nouveau Bassin en 2011. Cette œuvre résulte d’un concours d’art plastique lancé auprès des lycéens sur le thème de « La planète se réchauffe, n’ayons pas froid aux yeux ! ». Ce sont deux lycées qui ont remporté le concours : le lycée général Lambert et le lycée professionnel Stoessel. Julie Wittich et Marie Kebs sont les deux conceptrices de l’œuvre qui suivaient l’option arts plastiques au lycée Lambert. L’œuvre a ensuite été réalisée par des élèves en CAP métallerie du lycée Stoessel. La fabrication a nécessité 148 tuyaux en acier inoxydable et plusieurs fûts métalliques recyclés. L’œuvre pèse environ 700 kilos. L’image de l’ours a été choisie comme lien fort avec le réchauffement climatique. Choisir des tuyaux percés et entrouverts permet aussi de donner cet aspect fragile à l’ours, pour signifier qu’il s’agit d’un animal en danger, déjà atteint par les dégâts causés sur la nature et son environnement. Le lien peut aussi se faire avec les animaux du zoo, deux ours polaires présents à Mulhouse. Enfin, le titre de l’œuvre fait bien entendu référence à la constellation céleste qui serait comme un cap à suivre pour trouver les solutions face aux dégâts que connaissent la nature et la planète.

The work entitled La Grande oursse was installed at the Nouveau Bassin in 2011. This work is the result of a plastic art competition launched among high school students on the theme of "The planet is warming up, let's not be afraid! » Two high schools won the competition: the Lambert General High School and the Stoessel Vocational High School. Julie Wittich and Marie Kebs are the two designers of the work who were following the plastic arts option at the Lambert high school. The work was then created by students in the metalwork CAP at the Lycée Stoessel. The manufacture required 148 stainless steel pipes and several recycled metal drums. The work weighs about 700 kilos. The image of the bear was chosen as a strong link to global warming. Choosing pierced and half-open pipes also gives the bear this fragile aspect, to signify that it is an endangered animal, already affected by the damage caused to nature and its environment. The link can also be made with the animals in the zoo, two polar bears present in Mulhouse. Finally, the title of the work refers of course to the celestial constellation which would be like a course to follow in order to find solutions to the damage to nature and the planet.

Das Kunstwerk mit dem Titel La Grande ourse wurde 2011 im Nouveau Bassin installiert. Das Werk ist das Ergebnis eines Kunstwettbewerbs, der unter Gymnasiasten zum Thema "Der Planet erwärmt sich, lassen wir uns nicht ins Bockshorn jagen!" ausgeschrieben wurde Zwei Gymnasien haben den Wettbewerb gewonnen: das Lycée Général Lambert und das Lycée Professionnel Stoessel. Julie Wittich und Marie Kebs sind die beiden Entwerferinnen des Kunstwerks, die am Lycée Lambert das Wahlfach Kunst belegten. Das Kunstwerk wurde anschließend von Schülern der CAP Metallerie des Lycée Stoessel hergestellt. Für die Herstellung wurden 148 Rohre aus rostfreiem Stahl und mehrere recycelte Metallfässer benötigt. Das Werk wiegt etwa 700 kg. Das Bild des Bären wurde als starke Verbindung zur globalen Erwärmung gewählt. Die Wahl von durchbohrten und halboffenen Rohren ermöglicht es auch, dem Bären dieses zerbrechliche Aussehen zu verleihen, um zu signalisieren, dass es sich um ein gefährdetes Tier handelt, das bereits von den Schäden an der Natur und seiner Umwelt betroffen ist. Die Verbindung kann auch zu den Tieren im Zoo hergestellt werden, zwei Eisbären, die in Mülhausen anwesend sind. Schließlich bezieht sich der Titel des Kunstwerks natürlich auch auf die Himmelskonstellation, die wie ein Kurs wäre, dem man folgen müsste, um Lösungen für die Schäden zu finden, die die Natur und unser Planet erleiden.

Twee middelbare scholen wonnen de wedstrijd: het Lycée Général Lambert en het Lycée Professionnel Stoessel. Julie Wittich en Marie Kebs zijn de twee ontwerpers van het werk, die de kunstrichting aan de Lambert High School volgden. Het werk werd vervolgens gemaakt door leerlingen van de CAP metaalbewerking van de middelbare school in Stoessel. Voor de productie waren 148 roestvrijstalen buizen en verscheidene gerecycleerde metalen vaten nodig. Het werk weegt ongeveer 700 kilo. Het beeld van de beer werd gekozen als een sterk verband met de opwarming van de aarde. De keuze voor doorboorde en halfopen pijpen geeft de beer ook een kwetsbaar uiterlijk, wat erop wijst dat het om een bedreigd dier gaat, dat al is aangetast door de schade die aan de natuur en zijn milieu is toegebracht. De link kan ook gelegd worden met de dieren in de dierentuin, twee ijsberen aanwezig in Mulhouse. Ten slotte verwijst de titel van het werk natuurlijk naar het sterrenbeeld dat als een te volgen koers zou zijn om oplossingen te vinden voor de schade die de natuur en de planeet ondervinden.

Esta obra es el resultado de un concurso de arte convocado entre estudiantes de secundaria sobre el tema "El planeta se calienta, no nos acobardemos" Dos institutos ganaron el concurso: el Lycée Général Lambert y el Lycée Professionnel Stoessel. Julie Wittich y Marie Kebs son las dos diseñadoras de la obra que cursaban la opción de arte en el instituto Lambert. La obra fue realizada por los alumnos del CAP de metalurgia del instituto Stoessel. La producción requirió 148 tubos de acero inoxidable y varios bidones de metal reciclado. La obra pesa aproximadamente 700 kilos. Se eligió la imagen del oso como un fuerte vínculo con el calentamiento global. La elección de los tubos perforados y semiabiertos también da al oso un aspecto frágil, indicando que se trata de un animal en peligro de extinción, ya afectado por los daños causados a la naturaleza y a su entorno. El vínculo también puede hacerse con los animales del zoo, dos osos polares presentes en Mulhouse. Por último, el título de la obra hace referencia, por supuesto, a la constelación celeste que sería como un rumbo a seguir para encontrar soluciones a los daños que la naturaleza y el planeta están experimentando.

L'opera è il risultato di un concorso artistico lanciato tra gli studenti delle scuole superiori sul tema "Il pianeta si sta riscaldando, non facciamoci prendere dalla paura" Due scuole superiori hanno vinto il concorso: il Lycée Général Lambert e il Lycée Professionnel Stoessel. Julie Wittich e Marie Kebs sono le due ideatrici dell'opera, che frequentavano l'opzione artistica alla Lambert High School. L'opera è stata poi realizzata dagli studenti del CAP di lavorazione dei metalli della scuola superiore Stoessel. La produzione ha richiesto 148 tubi in acciaio inox e diversi fusti di metallo riciclato. L'opera pesa circa 700 chili. L'immagine dell'orso è stata scelta come forte collegamento al riscaldamento globale. La scelta di tubi forati e semiaperti conferisce inoltre all'orso un aspetto fragile, indicando che si tratta di un animale in via di estinzione, già colpito dai danni causati alla natura e al suo ambiente. Il legame può essere fatto anche con gli animali dello zoo, due orsi polari presenti a Mulhouse. Infine, il titolo dell'opera si riferisce naturalmente alla costellazione celeste che sarebbe come una rotta da seguire per trovare soluzioni ai danni che la natura e il pianeta stanno subendo.
