Village typique des vallées encaissées dans le grès rose du Plateau lorrain, Frohmuhl est, comme d'autres villages d'Alsace Bossue traversé par la rivière Eichel. Les pentes environnant le village et la vallée elle-même se sont reboisées suite à l'abandon de l'agriculture dans la seconde moitié du 20e s. Depuis une dizaine d'années, le Parc Naturel Régional des Vosges du Nord y expérimente la gestion écologique des friches par un élevage extensif de Highland Cattle, qui maintiennent ouverts les paysages des vallées à moindre coût.

Frohmuhl is a typical village in the valleys carved out of the pink sandstone of the Lorraine Plateau, and like many other villages in Alsace Bossue, it has the Eichel River running through it. The slopes surrounding the village and the valley itself were reforested following the abandonment of agriculture in the second half of the 20th century. For the past ten years, the Vosges du Nord Regional Nature Park has been experimenting with the ecological management of wasteland through extensive Highland Cattle rearing, keeping the valley landscape open at low cost.

Frohmuhl ist ein typisches Dorf der in den rosa Sandstein des lothringischen Plateaus eingeschnittenen Täler und wird wie andere Dörfer im Elsass (Alsace Bossue) vom Fluss Eichel durchflossen. Die Hänge rund um das Dorf und das Tal selbst wurden wieder bewaldet, nachdem die Landwirtschaft in der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Seit etwa zehn Jahren experimentiert der Regionale Naturpark Nordvogesen hier mit der ökologischen Bewirtschaftung von Brachland durch eine extensive Zucht von Highland Cattle, die die Tallandschaft mit geringem Aufwand offen hält.

Frohmuhl is een typisch dorp in de valleien die uit de roze zandsteen van het Lotharingse Plateau zijn gehouwen. Net als andere dorpen in de Elzas Bossue stroomt de rivier de Eichel erdoorheen. De hellingen rondom het dorp en de vallei zelf werden herbebost nadat de landbouw in de tweede helft van de 20e eeuw werd opgegeven. Sinds tien jaar experimenteert het Regionale Natuurpark van de Vosges du Nord met ecologisch beheer van braakliggende terreinen door middel van extensieve hooglandveeteelt, waardoor het landschap in de vallei open blijft tegen lagere kosten.

Frohmuhl es un pueblo típico de los valles excavados en la arenisca rosa de la meseta de Lorena. Como otros pueblos de Alsacia Bossue, lo atraviesa el río Eichel. Las laderas que rodean el pueblo y el propio valle se reforestaron tras el abandono de la agricultura en la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Desde hace diez años, el Parque Natural Regional de los Vosgos del Norte experimenta una gestión ecológica de las tierras baldías mediante la cría extensiva de ganado vacuno de montaña, lo que permite mantener abierto el paisaje del valle a un coste menor.

Frohmuhl è un tipico villaggio delle valli scavate nell'arenaria rosa dell'altopiano della Lorena e, come altri villaggi della Bossue alsaziana, è attraversato dal fiume Eichel. I pendii che circondano il villaggio e la valle stessa sono stati rimboschiti in seguito all'abbandono dell'agricoltura nella seconda metà del XX secolo. Negli ultimi dieci anni, il Parco Naturale Regionale dei Vosgi del Nord ha sperimentato una gestione ecologica dei terreni incolti attraverso l'allevamento estensivo di bovini di razza Highland, mantenendo aperto il paesaggio della valle a costi inferiori.
