Eglise Sainte Eugénie – Pontonx-sur-l'Adour

L'édifice de style néogothique, en forme de croix latine, est construit à la fin du XIXeme siècle par l’architecte Dupuy. Il sera consacré le 24 juin 1888 par Mgr Delannoy, le jour même où est inauguré le nouveau pont sur l’Adour, dans la perspective duquel est placé l’église dirigée sud-nord, et non orientée canoniquement). Principalement composé de pierre calcaire, la sculpture ornementale est quant à elle en pierre d’Angoulême. Le bâtiment est entièrement couvert d'ardoise à l'exception du clocher, coiffé d'une flèche en pierre.

The neo-gothic style building, in the shape of a Latin cross, was built at the end of the 19th century by the architect Dupuy. It was consecrated on June 24, 1888 by Bishop Delannoy, the same day that the new bridge over the Adour was inaugurated, in the perspective of which the church is placed (south-north oriented, not canonically oriented). Mainly composed of limestone, the ornamental sculpture is made of Angoulême stone. The building is entirely covered with slate except for the bell tower, which is topped with a stone spire.

Das neugotische Gebäude in Form eines lateinischen Kreuzes wurde Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts von dem Architekten Dupuy errichtet. Es wurde am 24. Juni 1888 von Bischof Delannoy geweiht, am selben Tag, an dem die neue Brücke über den Adour eingeweiht wurde, aus deren Perspektive die Kirche in Süd-Nord-Richtung (nicht kanonisch ausgerichtet) errichtet wurde. Der Bau besteht hauptsächlich aus Kalkstein, die Skulpturen sind aus Angoulême-Stein. Das Gebäude ist mit Ausnahme des Glockenturms, der eine steinerne Spitze hat, vollständig mit Schiefer gedeckt.

Delannoy, el mismo día de la inauguración del nuevo puente sobre el Adour, en cuya perspectiva se sitúa la iglesia (orientada al sur-norte, y no canónicamente). Es principalmente de piedra caliza, con la escultura ornamental en piedra de Angulema. El edificio está enteramente cubierto de pizarra, excepto el campanario, que está rematado con una aguja de piedra.
