ÉGLISE SAINT MARTIN DE GAILLAGOS – Gaillagos

L'église romane Saint-Martin de Gaillagos est de construction très ancienne, probablement du XIIIème siècle, mais elle a été très restaurée aux XVIIème, XVIIIème et XIXème siècles (1840-1890). Elle a perdu toute son authenticité. Le linteau est marqué 1819. Pendant un certain temps le patronage de l'église fut donné aux moines de saint-Savin, c'est leur abbé qui nommait le curé. À l’intérieur, belle cuve baptismale romane sculptée. Très belle chaire baroque, c'est tout ce qui reste de l'ancienne église. Le maître autel est en marbre de Bagnères, il est surmonté d'une croix en cuivre doré et de la statue de saint Martin (don de Lanusse-Fontan). Die romanische Kirche Saint-Martin de Gaillagos ist sehr alt, wahrscheinlich aus dem 13. Jahrhundert, wurde aber im 17., 18. und 19. Jahrhundert (1840-1890) stark restauriert. Der Hauptaltar besteht aus Marmor aus Bagnères und wird von einem Kreuz aus vergoldetem Kupfer und der Statue des Heiligen Martin (Spende von Lanusse-Fontan) überragt.
