Eglise Saint-Jean de Laroque – Laroque

De fondation romane, l'église Saint-Jean a conservé son choeur, vouté en cul de four, et sa nef, plafonnée en lambris, du XIIème siècle. La surélévation du chevet roman, dont les modillons sont sculptés de motifs géométriques et de figures humaines, permet de penser que l'édifice a été fortifié. Dans la seconde moitié du XIXème siècle sont élevées la sacristie et la chapelle méridionales ainsi que le clocher-porche, à flèche polygonale. L'ensemble de l'église est bâti en pierre de taille et en moellons.

From its roman foundation the St-John church conserved its choir, semi dome vaulted, and a nave, with wainscoting on the top, from the 12th century. The roman chevet has increased heigh, containing modillions with geometric paterns and human faces sculpted, which allow to think the building was fortified. During the second half of the 19th century, the sacristy and southern chapel were raised, and also the bell tower with its polygonal spire. The whole church was built with cut stone and rubble stone.

Die Kirche Saint-Jean wurde im romanischen Stil errichtet. Der Chor mit Gewölbedecke und das Kirchenschiff mit Täfelung stammen noch aus dem 12. Die Erhöhung des romanischen Kopfsteins, dessen Modillons mit geometrischen Motiven und menschlichen Figuren verziert sind, lässt vermuten, dass das Gebäude befestigt war. In der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts wurden die Sakristei und die südliche Kapelle sowie der Glockenturm mit polygonaler Spitze errichtet. Die gesamte Kirche ist aus Quadersteinen und Bruchsteinen erbaut.

De kerk van Saint-Jean, van romaanse oorsprong, heeft haar koor, gewelfd in een doodlopende straat, en haar schip met lambrisering uit de 12e eeuw behouden. De verhoging van het romaanse chevet, waarvan de modillions gebeeldhouwd zijn met geometrische motieven en menselijke figuren, suggereert dat het gebouw versterkt was. In de tweede helft van de 19e eeuw werden de sacristie en de zuidelijke kapel gebouwd, evenals de klokkentoren met veelhoekige spits. De hele kerk is gebouwd van essen- en breuksteen.

De su fundación románica, la iglesia Saint Jean ha conservado el coro en forma de bóveda de horno y la nave techada de rebestimiento del siglo XII. El alzamiento de la cabecera románica, cuyos modillones están esculpidos de adornos geométricos y figuras humanas, nos lleva a pensar que el edificio ha sido fortificado. En la segunda mitad del siglo XIX, se construyen la sacristía y la capilla meridionales, al mismo tiempo que el pórtico-campanario con flecha poligonal. La iglesia está hecha de sillar y mampuesto.

Di fondazione romanica, la chiesa di Saint-Jean ha conservato il coro, voltato a botte, e la navata, con il soffitto a cassettoni, del XII secolo. L'elevazione del chevet romanico, i cui modiglioni sono scolpiti con motivi geometrici e figure umane, suggerisce che l'edificio fosse fortificato. Nella seconda metà del XIX secolo furono costruite la sacrestia e la cappella meridionale, nonché il campanile con la sua guglia poligonale. L'intera chiesa è costruita in conci e macerie.
