EGLISE SAINT GORGON – Ville-sur-Yron

L’église Saint-Gorgon a été construite au XIIe siècle. Une partie de l’édifice surplombe l’Yron depuis 800 ans : il s’agit du chœur et de l’abside. Elle reprend en partie les principes du style roman, à savoir les murs massifs, l’arc en plein cintre ainsi que la voûte. Les fenêtres furent percées au XVIIIe siècle et le clocher reconstruit au-dessus du chœur en 1836.

Saint-Gorgon church was built in the 12th century. Part of the building has overlooked the Yron River for 800 years: the choir and apse. It is partly based on Romanesque principles, with massive walls, round arches and vaulted ceilings. Windows were added in the 18th century, and the bell tower was rebuilt above the choir in 1836.

Die Kirche Saint-Gorgon wurde im 12. Jahrhundert erbaut. Jahrhundert errichtet. Ein Teil des Gebäudes überragt seit 800 Jahren den Fluss Yron: der Chor und die Apsis. Die Kirche ist teilweise im romanischen Stil erbaut, d. h. mit massiven Mauern, Rundbögen und Gewölben. Jahrhundert und der Glockenturm wurde 1836 über dem Chor wieder aufgebaut.

De kerk Saint-Gorgon werd gebouwd in de 12e eeuw. Een deel van het gebouw, het koor en de apsis, kijkt al 800 jaar uit over de rivier de Yron. Het is gedeeltelijk gebaseerd op de principes van de Romaanse stijl, met zijn massieve muren, halfronde boog en gewelfd plafond. In de 18e eeuw werden ramen toegevoegd en in 1836 werd de klokkentoren boven het koor herbouwd.

La iglesia de Saint-Gorgon se construyó en el siglo XII. Una parte del edificio, el coro y el ábside, da al río Yron desde hace 800 años. Se basa en parte en los principios del estilo románico, con sus muros macizos, su arco de medio punto y su techo abovedado. En el siglo XVIII se añadieron ventanas y en 1836 se reconstruyó el campanario sobre el coro.

Si basa in parte sui principi dello stile romanico, con i suoi muri massicci, l'arco semicircolare e il soffitto a volta. Le finestre sono state aggiunte nel XVIII secolo e il campanile è stato ricostruito sopra il coro nel 1836.
