EGLISE SAINT-CHRISTOPHE DES TEMPLIERS – Montsaunès

De la commanderie d’autrefois, seule reste aujourd’hui l’église paroissiale Saint Christophe qui se dresse dans un isolement artificiel. C’est un grand édifice de briques à nef unique qui remonte à la fin du XIIe siècle. Elle est remarquable par les chapiteaux de ses portails et par son décor peint intérieur. Les murs et la voûte offrent des peintures à l’iconographie très variée qui ont souvent donné lieu à des interprétations ésotériques.
