Église Saint-Aubin – Le Louroux-Béconnais – Bécon-les-Granits

Du fait de l’incendie de l’église Saint Aubin du Louroux Béconnais par les chouans en 1794 qui y donnèrent l’assaut pour déloger les Républicains, la construction d’une nouvelle église fut envisagée. Le projet d’envergure, visant à pouvoir accueillir plus d’un millier de fidèles, fut confié à l’architecte angevin Dussouchay. Les travaux de reconstruction débutèrent en 1860. Inaugurée partiellement en 1863, l’église fut consacrée le 30 septembre 1867. Les vitraux de l’Eglise St-Aubin, commencés en 1860, évoquent la Révolution Française en relatant l’histoire de Noël PINOT, prêtre réfractaire de la paroisse. Il est jugé et exécuté en 1794. Dans l’église, on peut voir le document du jugement de Noël PINOT et la huche à pain dans laquelle il s’était caché.

After the Saint Aubin church in Le Louroux Béconnais was burnt down by the Chouans in 1794, who stormed it to dislodge the Republicans, the construction of a new church was envisaged. The large-scale project, designed to accommodate over a thousand worshippers, was entrusted to the Angevin architect Dussouchay. Reconstruction work began in 1860. Partially inaugurated in 1863, the church was consecrated on September 30, 1867. The stained-glass windows in St-Aubin Church, begun in 1860, evoke the French Revolution by telling the story of Noël PINOT, the parish?s refractory priest. He was tried and executed in 1794. In the church, you can see the document of Noël PINOT?s trial and the bread hutch in which he hid.

Nachdem die Kirche Saint Aubin in Le Louroux Béconnais 1794 von den Chouans niedergebrannt worden war, die die Kirche stürmten, um die Republikaner zu vertreiben, wurde der Bau einer neuen Kirche in Betracht gezogen.
