CROIX DANS LE CIMETIERE DE SAINT-JUERY

La datation de cette croix semble s’accorder avec le style propre à l’âge flamboyant Le XVe siècle traduit une évolution dans la représentation sculptée des croix. Les bras du Christ s’allongent, les fleurons sont bien développés et l’iconographie se précise. En effet, sur une face est représenté un Christ en croix et sur l’autre une Vierge à l’Enfant assise. Un feuillage fait de six pétales orne chaque extrémité des branches de la croix.

The dating of this cross seems to be in keeping with the style of the flamboyant age. The 15th century saw an evolution in the sculpted representation of crosses. The arms of Christ become longer, the finials are well developed and the iconography becomes more precise. Indeed, on one side is represented a Christ on the cross and on the other a seated Virgin and Child. A foliage made of six petals decorates each end of the branches of the cross.

Die Datierung dieses Kreuzes scheint mit dem Stil des Flamboyant-Zeitalters übereinzustimmen. Das 15. Jahrhundert zeigt eine Entwicklung in der geschnitzten Darstellung von Kreuzen. Die Arme Christi werden länger, die Fleurons sind gut entwickelt und die Ikonographie wird klarer. Auf der einen Seite ist ein Christus am Kreuz dargestellt, auf der anderen eine sitzende Jungfrau mit Kind. Ein Blattwerk aus sechs Blütenblättern schmückt die Enden der Kreuzarme.

De datering van dit kruis lijkt aan te sluiten bij de stijl die typisch is voor het flamboyante tijdperk. In de 15e eeuw vond een evolutie plaats in de gebeeldhouwde weergave van kruisen. De armen van Christus werden langer, de finials meer ontwikkeld en de iconografie preciezer. De ene kant toont Christus aan het kruis en de andere kant een zittende Maagd met kind. Bladeren bestaande uit zes bloemblaadjes sieren elk uiteinde van de takken van het kruis.

La datación de esta cruz parece responder al estilo propio de la época flamígera. El siglo XV conoció una evolución en la representación esculpida de las cruces. Los brazos de Cristo se hicieron más largos, los remates más elaborados y la iconografía más precisa. Una de las caras representa a Cristo en la cruz y la otra a la Virgen con el Niño sentados. Un follaje de seis pétalos adorna cada extremo de las ramas de la cruz.

La datazione di questa croce sembra essere in linea con lo stile tipico dell'epoca fiammeggiante. Il XV secolo vide un'evoluzione nella rappresentazione scolpita delle croci. Le braccia di Cristo divennero più lunghe, i terminali più elaborati e l'iconografia più precisa. Un lato raffigura il Cristo in croce e l'altro la Vergine seduta con il Bambino. Un fogliame composto da sei petali adorna ogni estremità dei rami della croce.
